Two exquisite rewards
for becoming a musician

The moor oak mandolin and the king’s lyre were custom-designed and built by Christoph Michael Pesch, master plucked instrument maker, especially for Klaus Wuckelt. Both instruments are made from wood native to Germany.

The following words are carved into the moor oak mandolin:
‚Gott zu Ehren dem Nächsten zur Labung
aus reiner Freude und Dankbarkeit am Sein‘
(‘To honour God and uplift thy neighbour,
out of sheer joy and thankfulness for life’)

The king’s lyre is an instrument which is truly the first of its kind,
built from bird’s eye maple.
